Desisyon sa kaso ni Michael Jackson, pinagpupustahan

SHOWBIZ DRIBBLE - Salve V. Asis -
Will it happen in the Philippines?

Ayon sa Indian health minister, "Film actors have a lasting impact on the minds of children and young adults. More and more youngsters and women are taking up tobacco use."

Maraming actor sa India ang endorser ng tobacco products dahil sila ang biggest producer ng pelikula as in mas marami pa silang ginagawang pelikula sa Hollywood.

"The new rules will become effective as law from August. We decided to give them a little time to modify their films and soap operas," ayon sa senior health ministry sa isang interview ng AFP.

Anti-tobacco advocates cheered, but some Indian filmmakers are unhappy, dahil maba-violate daw ng bagong batas ang kanilang artistic freedom.

Guilty or not guilty...

Nag-react si Nick (Auckland, New Zealand), online reader ng PSN tungkol sa column item about Ms. Gionna Cabrera.

"I was one of the Filipino’s who voted Gionna Cabrera in the Miss Photogenic Awards. Not because I am a Filipino and she can be my bet but let’s face it, all of my Filipino mates here in Auckland, New Zealand had a guess that she will never make it to the Top 15 but she will win the Miss Photogenic Award. The candidates who made it to the Top 15 are truly deserving, beauty and wow, really the judges in the said pageant will impressed a lot. Miss Canada is truly a beauty although looks like Ruffa Gutierrez.

"Now, hindi na dapat nag-emote si Gionna. She’s really a beauty and brain that Philippines can be proud of. Over the number of candidates, she must be happy and satisfied of the award. Miss Universe is getting tougher and stronger this years… Take a look back on Miriam Quiambao, no one expected her to be a first runner-up but she made it cause she impressed the judges….

"Gionna, it’s all about impressions and charm. I didn’t mean that you don’t have charm but hey, your batch is truly tough and competitive. So, just accept and be satisfied of what you got. Better than nothing Gionna… better than nothing.

"That’s all Salve."
