50 years bagong station ID ng ABS-CBN

Marami nang nabago sa Pilipinas mula nang nagsimula ang Philippine TV industry noong 1953. Iniimbitahan ng ABS-CBN ang buong bansang Pilipinas na sariwain ang kasaysayan ng telebisyong Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng bago nitong station ID, ang "50 Years of ABS-CBN Television", na unang na-broadcast ng ABS-CBN sa ASAP noong February 2.

Nasa "50 Years" station ID ang karamihan ng mga "shining moments" ng ABS CBN. Bago pa man magkaroon ng telebisyon ang karamihang pamilyang Pilipino, may mga bituin nang gaya nina Dolphy at Panchito sa Buhay Artista, Patsy and Lopito sa Tawag ng Tanghalan, Pugo sa Tang-tarang-tang, at Sylvia la Torre at Oscar Obligacion sa Oras ng Ligaya na handang magpatawa at magpaligaya sa kanila.

Pinagpupugay din ng "50 Years" station ID ang historic moments na nai-brodkas ng ABS-CBN sa bansa. Naging bahagi ng global village ang mga Pilipino sa pamamagitan ng satellite broadcasts ng ABS CBN ng 1968 Mexico Olympics at ng 1969 moon landing ng Apollo 11, captured live on ABS-CBN’s Man on the Moon telecast.

Ang Martial Law years – left symbolically blank – ay sinundan ng maraming triumphs para sa ABS-CBN.

The spot also features the men behind ABS-CBN’s growth. There is James Lindberg, the founder of ABS-CBN radio progenitor Bolinao Broadcasting System. There is Antonio Quirino, who developed BBS into the Alto Broadcasting System (ABS), which first broadcast DZAQ-TV. Finally, there are the three generations of the Lopez family: Don Eugenio Lopez, who founded the Chronicle Broadcasting Network (CBN), his son Eugenio "Geny" Lopez, Jr., who shepherded ABS CBN through its pre-Martial Law and post-Martial Law successes, and current ABS-CBN Chairman Eugenio "Gabby" Lopez III, now tasked with carrying the network into the future. Also in glimpsed in the plug are ABS-CBN Vice-Chairman Atty. Jake Almeda-Lopez and ABS-CBN President and COO Freddie Garcia.

Ang bago at digitally-animated "50 Years" station ID ng ABS-CBN ay prinodyus ng award-winning na Creative Communications Management (CCM) division ng network na pinangungunahan ni Cindy de Leon. Kamakailan ay nanalo ang CCM ng Bronze Worldmedal mula sa New York TV and Programming Festival.
