Vilma on ABS-CBN!

Maraming bagay na magaganda ang maaasahan ng mga fans ng Mayor ng Lipa City na si Vilma Santos sa mga darating na buwan. Naghahanda na ang ABS-CBN ng isang di malilimutang palabas para sa 40th Anniversary Special nito.

Ang Vilma: The Star For All Seasons will be a celebration of Vilma’s incredible 40 years as one of the country’s most durable and award-winning stars. Dalawang oras ito na si Vilma mismo ang magiging host at star.

Helping Vilma celebrate this special event are many of the special people in her life, kasama ang mga leading men she has performed with in the 182 films she has completed in her career. Christopher de Leon, Cesar Montano, Aga Muhlach, Dolphy, Richard Gomez, Rudy Fernandez, Vic Sotto at Eric Quizon at ang anak niyang si Luis Manzano, aka Lucky. Maaasahan din ang paglabas ni Megastar Sharon Cuneta, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano at ang dating mortal na kalaban nito ang Superstar na si Nora Aunor. And who knows — Vilma might also treat the audience to a song and dance number or two! "Pero, di na yung inihahagis sa ere. Matanda na ako para dun. Di na bagay sa akin," ani Ate Vi.

This loving retrospective will be made even more completely by the participation of several of the key people in Vilma’s long-running self-titled musical-variety show — producer Chit Guerrero, Director Romy Veron at ang choreographer na si Maribeth Bichara.

Ang Vilma: The Star For All Seasons ay mapapanood sa ABS-CBN sa Linggo, December 8, 9:30 ng gabi.

Bukod sa TV special na ito, mapapanood din si Vilma sa Star Network and its sister companies. By 2003, Vilma will star in a TV dramedy for ABS-CBN. And by the time Christmas rolls along, Vilma will anchor an all-star cast in the long-awaited film Dekada 70 from ABS-CBN’s film outfit Star Cinema.
