Special rates sa 'Ligawang Ligaw'

Ang Tanghalang Pilipino, ang resident theater company ng CCP ay may offer na special ticket rates sa opening weekend ng Ang Ligawang Ligaw, ang Filipino translation ng Shakespeare’s romantic comedy ‘‘Love’s Labour’s Lost.’’

Onstage at the CCP Little Theater, ang witty at hilarious comedy features four couples and their (mis)adventures in love with misplaced love letters, mistaken identities and secret affections. Para mas maging accessible ang play, Jose Estrella directs the play with a modern approach. Production designer Gino Gonzales even makes the actors wear sunglasses by Executive Optical. Ang set ay kinu-nan sa ‘‘fantastical’’ garden where everyone will see love literally blossom right before their eyes. Higit sa lahat sa pama-magitan ng Filipino translation mas madaling ma-intindihan ng manonood.

With the special rates, pay only P200 for regular tickets and only P125 for student tickets for the Nov. 8 show (8 p.m.) and the Nov. 9 and 10 shows (2:30 p.m.). As an added treat from TP, audiences can use their tickets after the show to get a 15 percent discount at the Ciboney Café, Bar & Restaurant (602 Remedios Circle). It’s a great way to spend your weekend!

Ang Ligaw ay mapapanood hanggang Nov. 24, while TP’s fun, interactive and colorful children’s play ‘‘Pinocchio’’ is now open for bookings for special performances for the first half of December.
