Mikey, Manny mga alas ni Ervin

Maglalaban sa aksyon at komedi ang IBF Bantamweigth champ na si Manny Pacquiao at Presidential Son Mikey Arroyo sa pelikula ng MMG Films and E-Corp Film International na may pamagat na Malayo Man, Malapit Din.

To be megged by MMG Pres./CEO Engr. Ervin Mateo with story concept by Willy Milan, being considered to play the role of Mikey’s love interest in the project are Jolina Magdangal and Judy Ann Santos. Kung sakali magiging reunion movie ito nina Juday at Mikey wo were first cast together in Mahal Kita Kahit Sino Ka Pa also from MMG Films. Si Angela Velez ay gumaganap ng romantic partner ni Manny samantalang suporta lamang si Ervin.

Manny and Mikey really are no strangers to each other having appeared onscreen twice sa Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin kasama si April Boy Regino at Mahal Kita, Kahit Sino Ka Pa with Judy Ann Santos. Komportable na ang dalawa sa kanilang ikatlong pagsasama. They regard each other as soul brothers.

Direk Ervin hopes to shoot scenes with Manny bago ito pumunta ng Los Angeles, California para mag-train in preparation for his title defense bout this September in Hawaii. While the Champ’s away, Direk Ervin will shoot most of Mikey’s scenes.

"My directorial debut officially was supposed to be Agila ng Bundok with Lito Lapid, muses Direk Ervin, "but since Vice Gov. has to finish another project intended for the MMFF, Malayo Man, Malapit Din becomes my first directorial job. That’s for the record."
