In less than two years since it joined the movie industry, ang Mateo Management Group ay humahataw na.

MMG chairman and president Ervin Y. Mateo and his wife, MMG finance directress Evelyn Mateo, ay naging matagumpay sa pagpo-produced ng maraming pelikula.

"It’s our humble way of helping the local movie industry," sabi ni Mrs. Mateo. May krisis sa ekonomiya nang pumasok sila sa paggawa ng pelikula.

Si Engr. Mateo naman attended almost all locations-shooting to learn every bolt and nut of production. He also appeared as an extra in some of the movie. "It was a learning process for me," he stressed. "If I have to stay in this venture, I might as well be at the center of it," he added.

Ang movie production ay naging family affair din, because their only son, Ervin Mateo, Jr. also started appearing in their productions, with flying colors.

Ginagawa ngayon ng MMG Film International ang Mahal Kita, Kahit Sino Ka Pa starring Judy Ann Santos and presidential son Mikey Arroyo.

For its international venture, MMG Films International co-produced late last year with a Japanese production company, the movie entitled Japino.

Ngayong buwan ang, MMG Films International ay iri-release ang Panabla starring Ronald Gan Ledesma and Angela Velez.

Not content with film production, MMG also organized its own recording company, MMG Records, with Yam Ledesma and Hanna Villame among its first recording artists.

Ang MMG ay nag-expand din sa entertainment world, and presently, it is producing the daily noontime TV show Lunch Break airs Monday to Friday, from 12:00 noon to 1:00 p.m. on IBC-13, and 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturdays.

MMG has also its public service/affairs program, Citizens’ Patrol which airs 11:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Wednesdays on IBC-13. Gen. Arturo Anas, Doy del Castillo and Engr. Ervin Y. Mateo co-host the show.
