Siquijor’s BNSs get honoraria

CEBU, Philippines - Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) of Siquijor province rejoiced as they were finally given honorarium by the provincial government.

All 134 BNSs of the six towns of the province received the first half of their honorarium for the previous year. It was the first time that Siquijor Province allocated funds for the BNS’s honorarium amounting to P500 per month, given twice a year.

BNS Federated president of Siquijor, Eva Duhaylungsod, thanked the Capitol for the release of the honoraria, which she said could help them with the expenses in going around sitios of the barangays, while having something to use it getting more supplies. — Mitchelle Palaubsanon via Mary Grace E.
