Tagbilaran City bet wins Miss Bohol 2015

CEBU, Philippines - Sixteen-year-old Mary Eda Cimafranca of Poblacion I in Tagbilaran City was crowned Miss Bohol 2015, besting 22 other hopefuls in this year’s beauty pageant.

The pageant was part of the month-long Bohol Sandugo celebration marking the 450th year of Blood Compact, a treaty entered into by Spanish general Miguel Lopez de Legaspi and Boholano native chieftain Datu Sikatuna.

Governor Edgar Chatto and wife Pureza crowned Cimafranca during the grand coronation the other night held at the Bohol Wisdom School gymnasium.

For bagging the Miss Bohol 2015 title, Cimafranca received P50,000 cash and trophy, plus a round-trip ticket to New York City and back, the organizers said.

Cimafranca also harvested other awards: Best in Talent, Best in Gown and Best in Swimsuit. Other minor awards she won were the Miss Hennan Resort, Darling of the Press, Miss Ramasola and Miss South Palms.

The candidate from Talibon town, Mae Regil Versoza, got the first runner-up award to take P30,000 cash and trophy. She also won the Miss Jaycees International and Miss Hyundai awards.

Clarmaine Radoc of Tubigon town went home as 2nd runner-up winner with P20,000 cash prize plus trophy.

The others who completed the winners’ court were Maria Rhea Rebecca Rocha of Jagna town, who placed 3rd runner-up and Maria Kaira Redulla of Guindulman town, who took 4th runner-up honors.

Other awards, the Darling of Social Media plum went to Erin Kate Javellana of Alicia town, the Best in Production award went to Maria Rebecca Rocha of Jagna town, while the Miss Photogenic award went to Breza Gayle Balighot of Dimiao town.
