10 of 24 newly named judges are for courts in E. Visayas

TACLOBAN CITY— Ten of the 24 new judges named by Supreme Court Chief Justice Lourdes Sereno and appointed by Malacañang, were assigned to various courts in Eastern Visayas.

Sereno's two-page order, dated last January 13 and signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa, in behalf of the president, named the following new appointees for Region 8:

Judges Leonito Sabandal for Regional Trial Court-branch 9 in Tacloban City of Leyte; Manesseh Bastas for  Municipal Trial Court in Cities-Branch 2 also in Tacloban; Lorna Obus-Pades for 10th Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Merida-Isabel towns in Leyte;  Ernesto Piñaflor for RTC-Branch 32 in Calbayog City of Samar; Renato Noel Echague for MTCC-Borongan City in Eastern Samar; Alejo Calvo for MCTC-Palapag in Northern Samar; Ulysses Loverita for MCTC in Biri-San Jose-Rosario towns of Northern Samar; Emerenciana Orquin Manook for RTC-branch 23 in Allen, Northern Samar;

Jacinto Elle for RTC-branch 26 in San Juan, Southern Leyte; and Mayumi Gorme-Amora for 7th MCTC in Pintuyan-San Ricardo towns of Southern Leyte. (FREEMAN)
