Grenade explodes at judge's house garage in Siquijor

CEBU, Philippines – An explosion rocked the house of a judge Siquijor yesterday dawn, destroying the rear wheel of his service vehicle that was parked in his garage at San Juan town in Siquijor.

Presiding Judge Alejandro Bahonsua Jr. of the Regional Trial Court-branch 46 in Larena, Siquijor  found out, at past 6 a.m., that the left rear wheel of his Toyota GX Land Cruiser Prado car was destroyed.

Police investigation revealed that at past 1 a.m., or about five hours earlier, an explosion was heard seemingly coming from the house of the judge. The responding policemen recovered shrapnels in the garage.

The Siquijor Provincial Police Office was, as of press time, still conducting an investigation to identify the persons responsible and of the possible motive of throwing a hand grenade at the judge's garage.
