Love-jilted security guard shoots self
ILOILO CITY , Philippines — A lovelorn security guard shot himself dead after his former girlfriend denied his pleas for a second chance in their relationship.
Raymond Grecia, 30, of Brgy. Jebioc, Pototan, Iloilo, died while being treated at St. Paul’s Hospital Friday evening.
Witnesses said Grecia, assigned to a local branch of a bank, had a very nasty and public fight with his girlfriend, also a security guard at a mall in this city at around 11:00 p.m.
Grecia was allegedly pleading to the woman to have him back but the latter flatly denied him. In front of many people and even a policeman, he quickly drew a .38-caliber revolver then put the gun’s muzzle on his mouth. He then pulled it out, aimed the gun’s muzzle on his jaw instead and then pulled the triggered.
Chief Insp. Alexander Rosales, City Proper Police chief, said Grecia’ suicide might have been brought by too much depression for being jilted twice. According to a relative, Grecia was married years ago but got dumped after his wife found an American lover.
Just two months ago, he found another love in his recent girlfriend, but he kept his marital status to her. But all hell broke loose in their relationship when his girlfriend knew about his wife and decided to end their relationship. (FREEMAN)
