LTFRB-6 monitors colorum vehicles

ILOILO CITY, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board-Region 6 is now identifying private vehicles illegally operating as cars-for-hire at the airport in this city.

LTFRB-6 regional director Romulo Bernales admitted that colorum vehicles (without franchises) have been clandestinely operating here.

“These vehicles are also asking excessive payment but we have no control over them,” he said.

Bernales advised commuters not to patronize these colorum vehicles that are pretending to pick-up their relatives but actually negotiating for passengers.

“Our personnel will post as observers and they will list down those private vehicles suspiciously transacting business with passengers,” he added.  (FREEMAN)
