Marchel P. Espina - The Freeman

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines - — A couple was apprehended Saturday for allegedly robbing their customers they were dealing with online, via Facebook.

Operatives of the Police Regional Intelligence Unit-6 nabbed the suspects, identified as Juralph Gayares, 28, of Pulupandan town, and his partner Emee Rose Vicera, 25, inside their house at Brgy. 26 in this city.

Police said Gavares and Vicera sold gadgets on Facebook to their online customers and set up a meeting for the supposed delivery and payment of the items.

During the meeting, however, the suspects allegedly declared a holdup and robbed their supposed customers.

Police said 11 more complainants had positively identified the suspects, who had been into this modus operandi for a long time already.  (FREEMAN)
