Two-hour fire razes 60 houses, hurts woman
BACOLOD CITY , Philippines — At least 60 houses were gutted by a two-hour fire at Purok Magtia-ayon in Barangay 10 of this city yesterday morning.
A 60-year-old woman, identified as Victoria Bersuelo, suffered burns on her back in the fire that caused an estimated P1.5 million damage to properties, according to the city’s Bureau of Fire Protection.
BFP marshal, Chief Insp. Bartolome Biliran, said the fire broke out at 8:40 a.m. and was put out at 10:46 a.m., or about two hours after.
Fire investigators were still determining the cause of the incident, as of yesterday afternoon. (FREEMAN)
