10 women to vie for Miss Iloilo Dinagyang 2014
ILOILO CITY , Philippines — A total of 10 women will vie for the Miss Iloilo Dinagyang 2014 beauty pageant on January 22 next year, according to the Iloilo Dinagyang Foundation Inc.
They are Melchie Zhar Joy Galido, Renee Ellise Abaygar, Jenny Babe Puda, Ma. Liza Lizada, Shireen Shahmardani, Michelle Marie Monte, Marianne Antonette Balsomo, Cerline Rose Daruca, Carisa Soriano and Angelith Joyce Libardo.
Alta Moda owner and designer Alex Soncio said majority of the candidates are students and only two are college graduates. He however said that the winner of the competition will not automatically represent Dinagyang for the Miss Aliwan Festival pageant in Manila in April next year.
Soncio said the selection for the candidate in Aliwan will be based on the assessment and judgment of Mayor Jed Patrick Mabilog and City Tourism Officer Ben Jimenea. (FREEMAN)
