P800K shabu seized in raid

ILOILO CITY, Philippines - —  Another big volume of shabu was seized in a buy bust operation Monday afternoon at Fort San Pedro Drive-In in this city.

Paul Ledesma, director of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-6, said around 100 grams of shabu worth between P800,000 and P900,000 were seized from the two suspects.

Arrested suspects were Orlando Prado, 38, of Barangay Libertad in La Paz district, and Michael Capero, 25, a taxi driver and resident of Brgy. Tacas in Jaro of this city. Their other companion, identified only as a certain Joe, managed to elude arrest.

The two were however not in the watchlist of known illegal drug personalities in the city and province of Iloilo, prompting Ledesma to theorize that those in the list may have been using other people to sell the illegal items.  (FREEMAN)
