Shabu, paraphernalia found inside jail

BAYBAY CITY, Philippines — The Bureau of Jail Management and Penology and the Police Regional Office in Eastern Visayas are now investigating on how an estimated P10,000 worth of shabu and drug paraphernalia found their way inside detention cell No. 3 in this city.

The Leyte Provincial Police Office stated that OIC jail warden Antonio Ubaldo and other provincial guards found the suspected shabu and paraphernalia during a surprise inspection.

The identities of the detainees inside the cell have not been disclosed yet, and that jail personnel are now cooperating with the police investigation.

The discovery was reported to the City Police Station by two provincial guards, Elson Sanchez and Eleazar Loreto.  (FREEMAN)
