Dumaguete City has new LTO head
DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines — Eugene Gador is now the new chief of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) in this city.
Gador, former LTO district chief in Carcar City in Cebu, replaced Roland Ramos who was transferred to the LTO district in Bohol last Friday, upon orders of Undersecretary Oban of the operations and transportation division of the Department of Transportation and Communications.
Ramos considered his sudden relief as part of his career development, and accepted it as a challenge to share his expertise with another LTO district office in Bohol.
Ramos refused to believe a politician close to Malacañang could be responsible for his transfer despite his efforts to develop and improve the LTO district office in Dumaguete.
He vehemently denied insinuations that he was transferred because he was known to have supported Negros Oriental Governor Roel Degamo.
Ramos said he was merely doing his job as an enforcer and it does not matter who is the reigning governor of the province where his office is located. (FREEMAN)
