Boy, 13, killed in shooting, 2 men wounded

CEBU, Philippines - A 13-year-old boy was killed while his fellow workers were injured following a shooting and hacking incidents at Brgy. Binantucan in Pontevedra, Capiz.

Ricardo Billones, Jr., a resident of Pilar, Capiz, was declared dead on arrival at Bailan District Hospital due to pellet wounds when hit by a 12-gauge shotgun of the suspect, 50-year-old Alex Bacense, who is now at large.

The other victims, Ernesto Bejo, 19, and his brother Robert, 21, also residents of Pilar town, are now treated at Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital. Ernesto sustained pellets wounds while Robert got hack injuries when attacked by the suspect.

Senior Insp. Elton Arcangeles, Pontevedra Police chief, said the three victims and Bacense, all farm workers, came from binge drinking before they got into a heated altercation.
