ILOILO CITY, Philippines – All ambulant vendors conducting business within the city will be now required to have license plates and health cards as part of the procedures of their operation.
This after City Council approved Regulation Ordinance No. 2012-402, sponsored by Councilor Lyndon Acap and his counterpart boy city councilor Patrick Anthony Nafarrete, which will take effect next year.
The ordinance states that an ambulant store owner must obtain from the City Hall a license plate, or the ambulant store plate—stating the name of the owner, his or her address, contact number and goods sold—to be displayed in the most visible part of the store.
Vendors who are handling food stuff are required to secure a health card from the City Health Office, the ordinance further states. (FREEMAN)
