Rep. Noel running for Tacloban City mayor

TACLOBAN CITY, Philippines  – Representative Florencio “Bem” Noel of the An Waray party-list has filed his CoC as an independent candidate for mayor of this city against reelectionist Mayor Alfred Romualdez, who is expected to file his CoC today.

Noel filed his candidacy at the Comelec city office accompanied by his wife Rep. Josephine Veronique Lacson-Noel, Rep. Neil Benedict Montejo, his lineup of candidates, barangay chairmen and supporters.

The candidates under his ticket are Vice Mayor Antoni, incumbent Councilors Jerry Uy and Niel Glova, former PB member Evangeline Esperas, Ace Jacklyn Young, Dalisay Erpe, Cesar Separa, Jose Mario Bagulaya, Rudy Calabria and Raissa Villasin.

In a press conference after the filing, Noel said: “Trust us. We mean well. I am a Taclobanon. I was born here and I am proud to be one. Just give us a chance.” —CONTRIBUTED (FREEMAN)
