Hilongos Mayor Roble bids for reelection

HILONGOS, LEYTE, Philippines  — Reelectionist Mayor Jose Emery Roble of UNA part, accompanied by partymates wearing the party’s signature red t-shirts, yesterday filed his CoC at the Comelec municipal office manned by election officer Leonardo Dizon Jr.

Roble and his supporters first attended mass early morning, took breakfast and then walked to the Comelec office near his residence and the Municipal Hall.

Mayoralty opponent, Albert Villahermosa, wearing the official yellow color of the Liberal Party, also filed his CoC yesterday.

Dizon told The Freeman that the CoC filing went on smoothly, and that he expected independent candidates to troop to his office within the filing period, which will end on Friday.  (FREEMAN)
