9 students 'possessed' by evil spirits?

ILOILO CITY , Philippines  — Nine female students of a Catholic high school in this city have simultaneously went unconscious after they were believed to have been possessed by evil spirits just before noon Thursday.

The students, from different year levels of the San Jose Catholic School in Plaza Libertad, this city, were brought to the adjacent church and were prayed over.

According to reports, some of them were in their respective classes while others were already outside of the classroom and were about to take their lunch when the incident happened.

Several minutes later, they began crying. Some of them offered slight resistance to those who tried to calm them down.

Jun Rivera of the religious group Spring of Love Community led the pray over for the “possessed” students, but he refused to tag the phenomenon as a “possession” of evil spirits. (FREEMAN)
