Bago City water district is Civil Service awardee
CEBU, Philippines - The Bago City Water District (BACIWAD) recently received its Citizen’s Satisfaction Center Seal of Excellence Award from Civil Service Commission assistant commissioner David Cabanag Jr.
Cabanag turned-over the glass seal and a P75, 000 cash prize to BACIWAD manager Leo Espada, during the awarding rites witnessed by local officials led by Mayor Ramon Torres employees, and BACIWAD’s board of directors.
BACIWAD garnered the highest customer rating of more than 90 percent and passed the CSC screening processes entitling the office to get the award, the first in the Western Visayas region.
Cabanag said the award recognized how good the water firm was in terms of competence, talent and dedication of its employees in their work. “It cannot be equated with money,” he said.
Bago City Mayor Ramon Torres, for his part, said the CSC Seal of Excellence showcased the transparency dealings of BACIWAD and the able management of its leaders.
It was an added luster to the city’s image having also won the DILG Housekeeping Seal of Excellence from the DILG and 10 other awards for its environmental programs.
Espada thanked the CSC for the award and he dedicated it the personnel of BACIWAD technical men and women. “We assure the water consumers of further improvement of our service,” he said.
BACIWAD supplies water to 4,348 concessionaires in Barangays Poblacion, Lag-asan, Balingasag, Napoles, Ma-ao, Sampinit and Calumangan in Bago City and in the town of Pulupandan, Negros Occidental. - THE FREEMAN
