BACOLOD CITY, Philippines — The Mambukal Resort in Murcia town, Negros Occidental has drawn around 10,000 guests and tourists through four days of the Holy Week and had generated an income of almost P1 million.

Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. said, “This is unprecedented,” adding that the tourists must have surely liked Mambukal Resort.

The resort, which has an annual net income of P10 million, is always fully booked, he said earlier, citing it as one of the highest generating Capitol enterprises under the Economic Enterprise Development Department.

This year, the Provincial Capitol had invested P27 million in the construction of seven new cottages with a total of 28 rooms. - THE FREEMAN
