Dumaguete mayor advised to hospital rest by physician

- Judy Flores Partlow/Maricar Aranas -

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines  - Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria had admitted being advised by his physician to rest for three days because of high blood pressure triggered by too much stress.

The mayor clarified, however, that there was nothing to worry about because he is now in perfect shape while describing himself as “stronger like a bull.”

Sagarbarria said he wanted to clarify that his hospital admission was due to the advise of his doctor for him to rest and to undergo further laboratory tests.

The mayor underwent electrocardiography (ECG) to determine the condition of his heart, a tissue doppler (TD) echocardiography and nuclear scanning for the heart but all tests came out negative.

Aside from being advised to rest for three days, the mayor was also advised to lose weight of at least 50 pounds until December 2013. —(FREEMAN)
