Antique SP suspends councilor in 'oral sex'

CEBU, Philippines - The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Antique has moved to slap a 60-day suspension against the controversial member of the Sangguniang Bayan of Pandan who is facing several administrative cases.

Particularly, the suspension was meted against Benjie Unlayao for his alleged immoral conduct.

Unlayao hugged the headlines a few months back after he was allegedly caught doing oral sex with a minor.

In a resolution passed by the Antique SP, Unlayao was held liable for the administrative case slapped against him.

According to Catalino Dionela, a barangay captain of Pandan town, the suspension was effective January 16, 2012.

It can be noted that Dionela filed the case against Unlayao after he was caught in a compromising act with a 15-year-old boy at the height of the annual fiesta celebration of Pandan last July 2011.

According to reports, some 10 village watchmen were conducting visibility patrol in the area when they noticed two persons hiding at the back of the gymnasium.

When the group of watchmen came to investigate, they saw two men – one of whom was sitting while the other was kneeling in front of the other person.

At that juncture, the watchmen attested that it was far from their imagination that the other man could be an elected town official.

But to their surprise, it was Unlayao whom they saw when they aimed the flashlight at the two persons.

They immediately reported the incident to authorities.

Subsequently, clamor to hold Unlayao responsible for doing an alleged immoral act to a 15-year old boy has snowballed until an administrative case was lodged against him at the SP of Antique.
