DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines  — A total of 752 fleece blankets were distributed to as many households in Barangay Candau-ay of this city who were affected by typhoon Sendong.

The distribution, done in a public-private partnership effort, was led by Smart Communications, Inc. in coordination with the city government, led by Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office and barangay officials.

Smart also set up Libreng Tawag stations at Purok 2 Habitat, Candau-ay Elementary School evacuation center and Balugo Elementary School in Valencia town of Negros Oriental.
