Negros Occ Police, Best Station in WV

BACOLOD CITY ,Philippines  — The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOPPO) was awarded the Best Provincial Police Office in Western Visayas for 2010 during the Philippine National Police's 110th police service anniversary on Monday.

Bacolod City Police Traffic Management Unit head, Chief Insp. Luisito Acebuche was awarded also the best junior police commissioned officer, and PO2 Joannes Sayson Ofalia of Bacolod City Police Station 5, also got the best junior police non-commissioned officers of the year award.

Regional Police Office-6 director Chief Superintendent Cepriano Querol led the awarding rites at the Camp Martin Delgado in Iloilo City.

NOPPO director Sr. Supt. Allan Guisihan attributed the award to their good rating in the recent Pre-Annual General Inspection-Operational Readiness, Security Inspection Test and Evaluation, implementation of localized policing systems and improvements in anti-crime strategies.

Other awardees in Region 6 were: Iloilo City Public Safety Company (best public safety company of the year); Iloilo City Police Office (best highly urbanized city police office); San Jose town police (best municipal police station); and Roxas City police station (best city police station)

PRO-6 also gave awards to SPO1 Joey Castillon of Antique Police Provincial Office for best senior police non-commissioned officer, SPO2 Rhia Sotomil of Iloilo Police Provincial Office for best Women and Children's Complaints Desk operative, and Chief Insp. Gilbert Gorero of Antique PPO for best mentor leader.
