5th Kabulakan Festival winner

DUMAGUETE CITY, Philippines – Barangay Taclobo delegation (right photo), representing the legend flower Margarita, recently won this year’s 5th Kabulakan Festival and bested five other barangays of the city for the best in street dancing, best in costume and best arc awards.

Barangay Camanjac, for the legend flower of Waling-Waling placed second, and Brgy. Candau-ay, for the legend flower of Flor de Pacion landed third.

Camanjac also won the best float award, and its bets, Miller Diez and Menchit Marana, won the festival king and queen awards respectively.

In the photo contest, Charlie Sindiong was the grand prize winner, with JP Nochefranca at second and Dennis Futalan in third. Other photographers who got special recognitions were Charlie Sendiong, Glenn Deputado, Jon Rey Abada and Luigi Anton Borromeo. –THE FREEMAN
