ILOILO CITY , Philippines – A female police official has been named to take over the top post of the Guimaras Police Provincial Office (GPPO).
Chief Supt. Cipriano Querol, Jr., director of the Police Regional Office-6, said that Governor Felipe Hilan Nava of Guimaras chose Senior Supt. Juanita Nebran from a list of three nominees.
Querol will be sending a letter request to the PNP national headquarters in Camp Crame to issue an order for Nebran's assignment to the GPPO.
Nebran, who came into the police force via lateral entry and was assigned to the Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management at Camp Crame, will succeed Sr. Supt. Celestino Guara.
Querol said PRO-6 will still find an assignment suitable to the rank of Guara, who was once the director of the Bacolod City Police Office.
Guara's stint with the GPPO was only as an officer-in-charge after its preceding OIC Supt. Leo Becerial went on schooling.
Meanwhile, Querol said that Sr. Supt. Antonio Viernes, deputy director for PRO-6 operations, would also leave his post for a UN peacekeeping mission, and might be replaced by Sr. Supt. Manuel Felix, the PRO-6 chief of staff.
From among the senior members of the directorial staff, Querol would choose Felix's successor.
