Man fails to pay motel bill; asks wife for help

ILOILO CITY , Philippines  — When all else fails, ask your wife for help. A man did exactly that after he was arrested for his failure to pay his bill at a motel in Molo district, this city.

It was around early morning of Saturday when Sebacio "Boboy" del Castillo, 47, of Washington St., Sara town in Iloilo, together with a 21-year-old commercial sex worker and a homosexual pimp, entered the motel at Molo.

Instead of consuming the regular 3-hour "short-time," the occupants failed to go out until a room boy knocked on the door after six hours.

Even with the persistent knocking of the door, no one opened it until the room boy, together with a policeman, forced open the door Saturday noon. It was then that the hotel management learned that del Castillo has no money to pay for their bill amounting to P330. Reports said he also failed to pay for the "service" of his woman companion.

While at the police station, the suspect, through a local radio station, asked for help from his wife to fetch him and bring money to pay for his motel bill. 

As of yesterday afternoon, The FREEMAN learned that the suspect was released from detention after he got a settlement from the motel management.
