Bohol poll 2011 PNoy, Binay, Gov. Chatto reap high approval ratings
TAGBILARAN CITY, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino II posted a high approval mark for his performance as president with a net satisfaction rating of +55, with 68 percent of respondents satisfied against 13 percent unsatisfied, according to the Bohol Poll 2011.
Vice President Jejomar Binay got higher approval net rating of +68, with only 10 percent dissatisfied as against 78 percent satisfied.
The Bohol Poll presented its survey on April 28, at the Holy Name University in this city.
On the local scene, Governor Edgar Chatto posted a net satisfaction rating of +77, with 83 percent of respondents convinced he is doing his job well against only 6 percent not satisfied.
Vice Governor Concepcion Lim scored +50 approval rating, getting 62 percent satisfied respondents against 12 percent unsatisfied with her performance.
“Across economic classes, Lim got relatively high net satisfaction from class E at +65 and least from classes ABC at +31,” said the survey.
The 25-34 age group gave Lim a highest net rating of +58 but he garnered the lowest net approval of +14 from the 35-44 age group.
The respondents gave City Mayor Dan Neri Lim a net approval of +43 with a total satisfaction percentage of 63 against 20 percent dissatisfied.
City Vice Mayor Nuevas Tirol-Montes got a +42 approval rate, with 58 percent satisfied and only 16 percent not satisfied. She also reaped high net satisfaction of +50 and +47 from classes D and E, the survey said.
The city government garnered a net high rating of +63 as far as providing adequate drinking water; +31 for protecting the environment; +28 for promoting investments; +24 for traffic management; +21 for protecting life and property; and +12 for providing livelihood/employment.
The opinion survey conducted by the HNU Research Center polled a total of 400 respondents at 100 respondents for each three congressional districts and another 100 for this capital city. It was done from April 2 to 19. –(FREEMAN)
