TACLOBAN CITY, , Philippines — Colonel Romeo Labador was yesterday installed the new commander of the 801st Infantry Brigade during a brief change of command ceremony held at Camp Eugenio Daza in Hinabangan town of Samar.
Outgoing commander Col. Alexander Albano, who earlier assumed the commander post of the Army Reserve Command, turned over the 801st IBde to Labador, a member of PMA Class of 1983 and a former chief of staff of the 8th Infantry Division.
Labador, in his speech, said that he will focus on the Internal Peace and Security Plan "Bayanihan" to sustain peace that reigns in the two provinces under his area of operation against the insurgents. – THE FREEMAN
