Skyway 3 magdudulot ng mas mabigat na trapiko
MANILA, Philippines - Humingi ng pang-unawa at mas mahabang pasensya ang Malacañang sa publiko para sa inaasahang pagsisikip pa ng trapiko sa Metro Manila.
Sinabi ni Presidential Communications Operations Office Sec. Sonny Coloma na magdudulot ng "short term inconvenience" ang mga proyekto tulad ng Skyway Stage 3 at ng Ninoy Aquino International Airport Expressway Phase 2.
"We call on our people to share in the burden of sacrifice and bear with short term inconvenience so we can build better roads that will ensure faster travel and more productive living in our highly congested National Capital Region," banggit ni Coloma sa isang panayam sa radyo kahapon.
Pagdudugtungin ng Skyway ang North at South Luzon Expressway na may habang 14.8 kilometro mula Buendia sa Makati hanggang Balintawak sa Quezon City.
Daraan ang protekto sa bahagi ng Osmeña Highway, Quirino Avenue, Santa Mesa district malapit sa Nagtahan flyover, Araneta Avenue. Aurora Boulevard, E. Rodriguez, Quezon Avenue, Sgt. Rivera at A.Bonifacio Avenue.
Nauna nang inabisuhan ni Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino ang publiko sa mas matinding pagbigat ng trapiko.
Magsisimula ang paggawa sa P26.5 bilyong proyekto mamayang alas-10 ng gabi at inaasahang matatapos sa 2017.
"There will be no total closure but motorists will have to learn how to drive bumper to bumper and shoulder to shoulder," banggit ni Tolentino.
Bukod sa Skyway ay may mga nakatakda rin iba pang proyekto sa Metro Manila.
