Napoles malungkot na hindi mabibisita ang puntod ng ina

MANILA, Philippines – Malungkot ang itinuturong nasa likod umano ng bilyung-bilyong pork barrel scam Janet Lim-Napoles dahil hindi niya mabibisita ang puntod ng kanyang ina sa Heritage Memorial Park sa Taguig City.

Sinabi ni Lorna Kapunan, abogado ni Napoles, na minamadali nila ang pagkakaroon ng piyansa ng kanyang kliyente upang makabisita sa sementeryo.

"She was hoping nga sana na matapos na yung bail hearing. As a matter of fact, based on the original schedule, dapat tapos na to last week. But napakatagal. They (prosecution) had a total of eight witnesses. This is the second day on the cross examination (of Benhur Luy). She is very sad because the prosecution took so long, she may not be able to visit her mother because pending pa rin yung bail hearing," pahayag ng abogado.

Nakakulong si Napoles sa Fort Sto. Domingo sa Sta. Rosa City, Laguna dahil sa kasong serious illegal detention case na isinampa ng pork scam whistleblower Benhur Luy.

Sinabi ni Kapunan na hindi naiintindihan ng prosecution panel ang kanilang rason kung bakit nila minamadali ang pagkakaroon ng piyansa.

"Yun ang concern. Hindi siguro naiintindihan ng prosecution bakit tayo nagmamadali. There is the concern and desire of Mrs. Napoles to speed-up the bail hearings so that she would be able to visit her mother," banggit ni Kapunan.

"As you very well know, she was very close to her mother. She surrendered in front of her mother's mausoleum. Napakalapit niya sa nanay niya and suddenly this is the first time that she will not be able to join her mother. That is why we have been trying to speed-up these bail hearings but apparently to no avail," dagdag ng abogado.
