PAF nagdeploy ng C130 plane sa Batanes
MANILA, Philippines — Nagdeploy ang Philippine Air Force (PAF) ng C130 plane upang maghatid ng mga relief supplies para sa mga pamilyang biktima ng pananalasa ni super typhoon Julian sa lalawigan ng Batanes, ayon sa isang opisyal nitong Linggo.
Sinabi ni Col. Ma. Consuelo Castillo, spokesperson ng PAF, ang kanilang C130 plane ay lumipad patungong Batanes kamakalawa. Ibiniyahe nito ang dalawang batches ng mga essential goods para sa ayuda ng nasa 14,000 indibidwal na matinding naapektuhan ng bagyo.
“The Philippine Air Force remains steadfast in its mission to deliver timely and efficient air transport in support of national humanitarian efforts, demonstrating once again its unwavering commitment to serve the Filipino people,” ayon kay Castillo.
Inihayag naman ni Ensign Cyrus Anthony Ramos, Public Affairs Officer ng Naval Forces Northern Luzon na nagsagawa na rin ang kanilang hukbo ng humanitarian assistance disaster relief operations sa Batanes at Ilocos Norte para tumulong sa mga komunidad na matinding nasalanta ng kalamidad.
“The operations focused on rescue efforts and distribution of essential goods in areas such as Pasuquin, Bacarra, San Nicolas, Paoay, and Laoag City while also assisting the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO) in monitoring coastal and landslide-prone areas,” ani Ramos.
