Suspek sa pag-ambush sa Lanao del Sur governor 'nanlaban,' patay — PNP
MANILA, Philippines — Patay ang isang suspek sa pananambang kay Lanao del Sur Governor Mamintal "Bombit" Alonto Adiong Jr. na siyang ikinamatay ng apat na katao, ito matapos daw niyang "makipagbarilan" sa composite police team.
Ayon sa mga ulat galing kina Police Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, Regional Director ng Police Regional Office, Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, naglunsad kasi ng hot pursuit operations ang kapulisan ng Maguing Municipal Police Station mula ika-17 hanggang ika-19 ng Pebrero — bagay na nauwi raw sa engkwentro sa suspek na kilala lang sa alyas na "Otin."
Si alyas "Otin" ay sinasabing anak ni alyas "Fighter," na isa sa limang suspek na pinaghahahanap pa rin.
Nakumpiska sa pangangalaga ni alyas "Otin" ang Colt MK IV caliber 45 pistol na siyang kargado pa ng anim na bala. Sinasabing forensic investigations ng Scene of the Crime Operation ang nagsagawa ng crime scene processing para makuha ang ebidensya.
"I commend the bravery and dedication of our police officers who risked their lives to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to justice," wika ni Philippine National Police chief General Rodolfo Azurin Jr., Martes.
"The successful pursuit operation shows that the PNP will not tolerate lawlessness and will do everything in our power to ensure the safety and security of our people."
Patuloy pang mino-monitor at nakikipag-ugnayan ang PNP investigators sa mga biktima ng pamilya upang makuha ang kanilang pahayag pagdating sa insidente para sa pormal na paghahain ng criminal complaints.
Biyernes lang nang tambangan ng mga hindi pa kilalang suspek, na siyang pinaghihinalaang terorista, sina Adiong na siyang ikinamatay ng apat niyang escort sa bayan ng Maguing.
"We condemn this senseless act of violence against our public servants. We assure the public that the PNP will exhaust all efforts to bring the perpetrators to justice," sabi pa ni Azurin.
"We stand in solidarity with the families of the victims, and we will not rest until those responsible are held accountable for their actions."
