P1.5-B pabahay ng Hanjin

CASTILLEJOS, Zambales, Philippines  – Inaprobahan na ng Local na pamahalaang bayan ng Castillejos sa Zambales ang P1.5 bilyong halaga ng housing project na tinaguriang “Hanjin Village” kung saan ang Memorandum of Agreement ay nilagdaan ng HHIC-Phil Inc. sa pangu­nguna nina President Jin Kyu Ahn at Castillejos Mayor Jose Angelo Dominguez.

Ang nasabing MOA, na inihalintulad  sa Public-Private Partnership (PPP) ng LGU unit at private sector organization, ay sinuportahan ng Hanjin’s Corporate Social Responsibility program para sa mga kawani ng shipyard sa kooperasyon ng state-run Pagibig Fund.

Ayon kay Hanjin President Ahn, ang 30 ektaryang lupain na binili ng Korean shipbuilder ay ipagkakaloob ng libre in form of donation sa mga kawani.  

Ang unang housing project ay mabebenipisyuhan ang 2,000 kawani at ang phase 1 ay binubuo ng 1,000 housing units sa 12 ektaryang lupain. 

Ang unang 300 units ay itinakda ang inauguration sa Enero 2013 kung saan ang symbolic turn-over ng house keys sa workers-buyers. 

Samantala, ang buong Phase 1 ay nakatakda namang makompleto sa Hulyo 2013. 

Ang nasabing proyekto ay tatayuan din ng elementary school na donasyon ng Hanjin kung saan ang bus terminals ay ma-accommodate ang mga kawani ng shipyard free-of-charge, at multipurpose hall, among other amenities.

“All of these features translate to a better quality of life for the shipyard employees and their children, He said that the prices of the housing units will be considerably lower than those in the market today for similar projects.,” dagdag pa ni President Ahn.
