PNP official kasama sa nasawi sa banggaan ng American airline at US Army chopper
MANILA, Philippines — Kinumpirma ng Philippine National Police (PNP) na may isang Pinoy na nasawi sa banggaan ng isang American airline at US helicopter.
Matatandaang noong Huwebes, Enero 30, 2025 nang magkaroon ng air collision ang American airline at isang US Army helicopter kung saan naiulat na walang nakaligtas at siyang itinuturing na “deadliest US air disaster sa loob ng halos 20 taon.”
Sa isang press conference kahapon, nagbigay ng ilang detalye si PNP spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Randulf Tuano hinggil sa nasawing Pinoy na miyembro ng naturang ahensya.
Kinilala ang biktima na si PNP Chief of Supply Management Division Police Colonel Pergentino Malabed Jr., na bumiyahe para umano sa pre-delivery inspection ng tinatayang 2,675 units ng all-purpose vests at siyang sakay ng American Eagle flight 5342.
“PCOL Malabed was on official travel at the time of the incident, fulfilling his duty as a dedicated police officer—committed to the service of protecting and securing both the PNP and the nation. His untimely passing is a profound loss to the PNP, where he served with honor, integrity, and dedication throughout his career,” anang PNP.
Nagpahayag din ng pakikiramay ang PNP sa mga naulila ng biktima.
