MANILA, Philippines — Itinakda ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) sa Abril 28, 29 at 30 ang local absentee vo­ting para sa midterm polls ng 2025 para sa lahat ng opisyal at empleyado ng gobyerno, kapulisan, mga sundalo ng pamahalaan at miyembro ng media.

“All government officials and employees including Members of the Philippine National Police and Armed Forces of the Philippines, and members of the media and media practitioners including their technical and support staff who are temporarily assigned to perform election duties or cover/report on the conduct of elections may avail Local Absentee Voting for the 2025 National and Local Elections,” ayon sa post ng Comelec sa social media.

Ito ay batay sa isinasaad ng Comelec Resolution 11091, na nagsasabing “any government emplo­yees, who are duly registered voters, are encou­raged to apply for Absentee Voting in places where they are not registered voters but where they are temporarily assigned to perform election duties on election day.”

Kailangan lamang mag­hain ng application para sa local absentee voting nang hindi lalagpas ng Marso 7, 2025 sa kani-kanilang heads of offices, supervisors, commanders, officers next-in-rank ang mga opisyal at kawani ng gobyerno, ayon sa Comelec.

Gayundin ang deadline sa paghahain ng aplikasyon ng mga miyembro ng media na isusumite sa Office of the Regional Election Director-National Capital Region para sa mga taga-NCR habang sa Office of the City Election Officer para sa highly urbanized cities (HUCs) o independent cities sa labas ng NCR o sa Office of the Provincial Election Supervisor para sa mga lugar na ‘di nabanggit.

Ang pagboto ay magsisimula ng alas-8 am hanggang 5:00pm.
