Malacañang nagbabala sa medical insurance scam

MANILA, Philippines — Binalaan ng Malacañang ang publiko laban sa mga scammers na nag-aalok ng hindi otorisadong medical insurance.

Sinabi ni acting Presidential Spokesperson at Cabinet Secretary Karlo Nograles, na nakatanggap ang Office of the Presidential Spokesperson (OPS) ng ulat na may ilang “unscrupulous individuals”  ang gumagamit ng pa­ngalan niya at ni Secretary Silvestre Bello III para makapag-solicit  ng “unathorized medical bond/medical insurance? na nagkakahalaga ng P6,000 bilang bahagi ng recruitment at hiring procedure.

Ang mga scammers umano ay gumagamit ng letterheads ng Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emer­ging Infectious Diseases (IATF) at Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).

Kaya’t hinikayat ni Nograles ang publiko na kaagad na isumbong sa mga otoridad ang mga indibidwal na nag-aalok ng medical bonds o medical insurances.
