Pekeng gun ban exemption permit kumakalat, binebenta sa halagang P1,200

MANILA, Philippines - Kumakalat umano ang mga pekeng gun ban exemption permit na pirmado ng isang opisyal ng Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Kaya naman ay agad na nagbabala si Comelec Commissioner Elias Yusoph, Chairperson ng Comelec – Committee on the Ban on Firearms and Security Personnel (CBFSP), na mag-ingat sa nasabing gun ban permits na may pekeng pirma niya na ibinebenta.

Ayon kay Yusoph, ang sinumang mahulihan na may dalang pekeng gun ban permit ay mahaharap sa  kasong falsification of public documents at makukulong  ng mula 6 hanggang 12 taon.

Sinabi ni Yusoph na ang orihinal na permit ay may watermark ng Comelec, dapat mayroong pirma niya, at maging sina Philippine National Police (PNP), General Miguel Antonio Jr., at Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) General Rodelio Santos.

Ang application fee aniya para sa permit ay nagkakahalaga ng P5,000 habang ang peke ay nabatid nilang pinababayaran ng halagang  P1,200.

Panawagan ni Yusoph sa publiko na sakaling may mag-alok na fixer ng permit, naka-uniporme man o pribadong indibidwal ay huwag paniwalaan at agad ireport sa Comelec.
