Hidilyn ipinagbunyi ang Philippines national youth and junior team

MANILA, Philippines — Matagumpay ang naging kampanya ng national junior at youth team sa katatapos lamang na 2023 Asian Youth & Junior Weightlifting Championships na idinaos sa New Delhi, India.

Humakot ang koponan ng kabuuang 19 gold, 10 silver at 4 bronze medals na mas marami kumpara sa nakolektang 15 golds, 2 silvers at 3 bronzes noong nakaraang taon sa Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Lubos ang kasiyahan ni Tokyo Olympic Games gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo sa ipinakita ng mga miyembro ng national junior at youth team.

“Heto pa lang ang simula, at sana marami pang maengganyo, mainspire at magpursige sa larangan ng weightlifting para marami pang tumapak sa international platform at mag-uwi pa ng mga medalya,” wika ni Diaz-Naranjo. “Congratulations to all”.

Tampok sa 19 ginto ng national squad ay ang tig-tatlo nina Vanessa Sarno sa women’s youth 71 kilogram, Rosegie Ramos sa junior women’s 49 kilograms, Jhodie Peralta sa youth women’s 49 kilograms at Angeline Colonia sa youth/junior women’s 45 kilograms divisions.

Nagdagdag ng tig-dalawang golds sina Albert Ian delos Santos sa youth/junior men’s 61 kilograms at Prince Keil delos Santos sa youth men’s 49 kilograms habang may tig-isa sina Rose Jean Ramos sa junior women’s 45 kilograms, Alexsandra Ann Diaz sa youth women’s 40 kilograms at Erron Borres sa youth mens 49 kilograms.
