Matitikas na swimmers riot sa pagbabalik aksyon ng PSL

MANILA, Philippines — Magbabakbakan ang mahuhusay na swimmers sa bansa sa 2023 Philippine Swimming League (PSL) Short Course Swimming Championship - Rebuil­ding Champions Class ABC/Novice Meet na lalarga ngayong araw sa Diliman Preparatory School swimming pool sa Quezon City.

Layunin ng PSL na makatuklas ng mga bagong talento na huhubugin para sa mga international competitions.

Ang torneo ay magsisilbi ring qualifying upang makapili ng mga swimmers na isasabak sa mga international tournaments.

“One of our goals in PSL is to identify talents through grassroots development program. After identifying talents, we are bringing them into the next level which is to compete internationally,”ani PSL President Alex Papa.

Bibigyan ng medalya ang tatlong mangunguna sa bawat age band habang nakaabang naman ang tropeo para sa mga tatanghaling Most Outstanding Swimmer.

Lalahok ang mga swimmers mula sa National Capital Region at mga kalapit probinsiya sa Luzon gaya ng Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas at Bataan.

Nagkumpirma rin ng partisipasyon ang mga tankers mula sa Antique, Iloilo, Bacolod, Cebu, Capiz at Aklan.

“We are thankful to Senator Nikki Coseteng for always being there supporting our programs for our young swimmers,” dagdag ni Papa.

Ilan sa mga produkto ng PSL sina World Junior Championships semifinalist Micaela Jasmine Mojdeh at Palarong Pambansa gold medalist Marc Bryan Dula.
