Women’s Martial Arts Festival sa November 12-17

MANILA, Philippines — Lalo pang palalakasin ng Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) ang ka­nilang Women in Sports program sa pagdaraos ng 8th Women’s Martial Arts Festival sa Sabado sa Ri­zal Memorial Sports Com­plex (RMSC) sa Ma­la­te, Manila.

“Ang objective ko ta­laga is to increase the par­­ticipation of women athletes,” pahayag ni PSC Com­missioner Bong.

Nakalatag sa torneo ang mga regular sports na pencak silat, wrestling, sambo, taekwondo, muay thai, kickboxing, karate, jiu jitsu, kurash at ang da­lawang demonstration sports na arnis at judo.

Magtatapos ang event sa Nobyembre 17.

Umaasa ang PSC na makakadiskubre ng mga bagong magiging mi­­­yembro ng national teams matapos sina Tok­yo Olympic weightlifting gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz-Naranjo at World Games 2022 karate champion Junna Tsukii.

Ito ay magiging baha­gi ng na­tional selection process ng mga NSAs para sa kopo­nang isasabak sa 32nd Southeast Asian Games sa Cambodia at sa 6th Asian Indoor and Mar­tial Arts Games sa Thailand sa 2023.
