Creamline, PetroGazz pag-aagawan ang 1-0 lead
MANILA, Philippines — Aarangkada ngayong araw ang bakbakan sa finals sa pagitan ng Creamline at PetroGazz sa Premier Volleyball League (PVL) Open Conference sa Mall of Asia Arena sa Pasay City.
Papalo ang Game One ng best-of-three championship series ng Cool Smashers at Gazz Angels sa alas-6 ng gabi at aarangkada ang Game One ng best-of-three battle-for-bronze ng Choco Mucho at Cignal sa alas-3 ng hapon.
Fresh na fresh ang Creamline dahil nagkaroon sila ng sapat na pahinga matapos mabilis na walisin ang hiwalay na semis series nito kontra sa Choco Mucho.
“We’re excitedto be in the finals again,” wika ni Creamline coach Sherwin Meneses.
Solido ang Cool Smashers dahil nariyan sina opposite hitter Tots Carlos at wing spiker Jema Galanza.
Magiging armas din ng Creamline si Alyssa Valdez at ang matikas na tambalan nina middle blockers Celine Domingo at Jeanette Panaga gayundin si playmaker Jia Morado na mamumuno sa opensa ng Cool Smashers.
“It’s so much different from the last year campaign where we came up short. But it has served as an extra motivation for this year’s campaign,” ani Valdez.
Sa kabilang banda, galing Gazz Angels sa matamis na panalo laban sa HD Spikers sa ‘rubber match’ ng kanilang semis series kaya’t mataas ang morale nito sa pagharap sa Cool Smashers.
Ibang usapan ang finals para kay PetroGazz head coach Jerry Yee.
Aasahan ni Yee sina outside hitters Myla Pablo at Grethcel Soltones kasama sina opposite spiker Aiza Pontillas at middle blockers MJ Phillips at Remy Palma.
