Pakiusap ni Cariaso sa buyer

MANILA, Philippines — Naniniwala si Alaska head coach Jeff Cariaso na hindi babaguhin ng bibili ng prangkisa ang lineup ng Aces na kanilang binuo sa layu-ning makakopo ng PBA championship.

“I hope they see the team that we’re starting to build. I hope they see that this team is competitive,” ani Cariaso sa huling laro ng Alaska sa PBA matapos sibakin ng NLEX sa quarterfinals ng Governors’ Cup noong Sabado.

“I think this team just needs a few tweaks here and there, kulang pa ng isa, dalawang pieces here and there,” dagdag nito.

Noong Pebrero 16 ay pormal na inihayag ni team owner Wilfred Uytengsu ang pag-alis ng Alaska sa PBA matapos ang 35 seasons kung saan humakot ang koponan ng kabuuang 14 korona tampok ang Grand Slam noong 1996 sa ilalim ni coach Tim Cone.

Si Pampanga bil­lionaire at Converge ICT Solutions founder at CEO Dennis Anthony Uy ang sinasabing malaki ang tsansang makabili sa prangkisa.

Ang 48-anyos na tubong Angeles City ay kapangalan ni Phoenix Fuel Masters team owner at billionaire Dennis Uy na bumili naman sa PBA franchise ng Barako Bull noong 2016.

“So, I hope so. I hope that there’s someone who’s willing to take a risk with this team,” sabi ni Cariaso sa potential buyer na kailangan ding makakuha ng basbas ng PBA Board of Governors at PBA Commissioner’s Office..

Kung walang bibili ng Alaska franchise hang­­gang Hunyo ay sasailalim ang mga Aces players sa isang dispersal draft base sa PBA rules.
