Foreign players bawal pa rin sa NCAA
MANILA, Philippines — Wala pa ring makikitang foreign players sa National Collegiate Athletic Association.
“As of the moment, majority of the NCAA schools agreed that there are more negative, they have done more harm than good,” sabi ni National Collegiate Athletic Association Management Committee chair Fr. Vic Calvo, OP, ng host Letran sa online PSA Forum kahapon.
Sinabi ni Calvo na ito ang napagkasunduan ng ilan sa mga member schools para sa Season 96.
Pero ang UAAP at iba pang college-level leagues sa Manila at probinsiya ay nagpapalaro pa rin ng imports.
Wala nang pinala-rong foreign athletes ang NCAA noong nakaraang season na nahinto dahil sa COVID-19 pandemic.
Ngunit sinabi ni Calvo na posibleng ibalik muli ang mga foreign players sa NCAA. “The NCAA has always been dynamic, anything can happen. The NCAA is a collegial body, it’s a democratic association,” aniya. JV
