Philippine tracksters ibabawi ang Pinas--Juico

Russell Cadayona - Pang-masa

“We have to do something extraordinary because of the tragedy that occurred,” wika ni Juico. “Please if and when you received the gold medal, please sing our national anthem. And sing it loud.”

‘I know you will do your best.

“It would be very very great if the track and field athletes will be able to sing our national anthem anywhere from six to 12 times,” wika ni Juico, da-ting chairman ng Philippine Sports Commisison.

Sa Day One ng athletics competition sa Disyembre 6 ay tatakbo sina Mary Joy Tabal at Christine Hallasgo sa women’s at sina Jerald Sabala at Anthony Nierza sa men’s marathon.

Nakalatag naman sa Day Two kinabukasan ang mga gold medal sa men’s pole vault at long jump, women’s at men’s 200m, men’s 10,000m run, men’s hammer throw, women’s triple jump at 4x400m mixed relay.

Sa Day Three ay pag-aagawan ang mga ginto sa women’s 10,000m walk, 1,000 run, javelin throw, long jump at pole vault, men’s at women’s 1,500m, women’s at men’s 100m.

Matatapos ang athletics event sa Disyembre 10.
